Creative Curses for Use Against CBS

Postby ObsidianJade » 20 May 2009, 11:03

Okay, some of us are taking the high road on this and informing CBS that we will no longer be tuning into their network due to failing quality of shows and management.

For the rest of us... well, I'm very creative, and not always in a good way, :D Roy once suggested that I might pratice voodoo, and right now I'm about willing to give it a shot1

Therefore, I'm compiling a list of creative and entertaining curses for use against CBS - not including 'May Les Moonves walk in front of a speeding bus,' since I mailed that one directly.

- May all of their executives be(come) bald and impotent
- May all of their reality shows fail and Fox laugh at them.
- May all of their coffepots short out, paperclips vanish, staplers break, and left shoelaces snap, simultaniously and in all offices nationwide.

If anyone else has contributions, I think we all need a laugh right now, so give 'em your best - or worst!

May all of the world's reality shows fail and thus we can get good tv again... especially EH.

Not really a curse against CBS, but reality shows are 100x worse than anything CBS could do, imho. God I hate reality shows. And game shows. And talk shows. If it doesn't have a plot, gtfo off my tv!

Oh well, we all know that I'm not 100% good at being on topic!

Hehe, I'm going to be very evil...

-May the producers have the theme songs from Barney and Lamb Chop stuck in their heads on permanent loop for the next eight months.

Gosh, I have nothing to add just yet except every time I go to say CBS, or even think it, my mind replaces it with 'Fucknuggets'. Don't even ask; I don't know.

Fucknuggets. I love it~!

Also, when I read through the Zap2It blog 'CBS does what CBS wants,' I found this post and adored it.

yes, its funny how intelligent fans of quality television shows reject mediocrity in entertainment, hillarious indeed.

Network television must be revolutionzed!

Cable comrades, unite!

The bigger they are, CBS, they harder they fall.

NBC learned that lesson the hard way, and now, despite the Leno experiment, they are poised to survive a televisual holocaust.

On the other hand, when the revolution comes, CBS will burn like the Hindenburg and sink like the Titanic.

Hm, I know my proclamations of anger at the networks will have no effect, but god damn it feels good to vent.

Have a nice day. :)

Niice! :D

The only problem is that there are those who delight in being rude to people that have any passion, and they always come out to villify. Idiots.

May all those new dramas fail that you ask yourself 'why the hell did I dare cancel EH'

May NCIS spinoff sinks worse than the Titanic so Nina Tassler slaps herself after thinking LL Cool J would attract younger fans.

May EH is picked up by another network and gives the best ratings, awards and times to them.

Sounds about right....

- May Eleventh Hour be renewed on another network and go on to be every bit as successful as the X-Files so that CBS will be kicking itself in the head, wondering why they shot themselves in the foot.

Here's one; May the fanfiction for EH be better written than the scripts for all of CBS's new shows.

(blush) Thank you! I didn't think that was my best work, but it's light and cute.... kind of the 'beach book' of fanfiction types.

May all of CBS's executives' parking spaces develop large potholes overnight.

Not sure where to post this, I guess, but it makes me hate CBS all over again, so....why not here? I have been following the WaT fans (as I was one) and how they are all getting along, and Anthony LaPaglia keeps giving interviews where he is very blunt and candid. Which is fine with me. This was in his latest one:

The australian actor believes to know the reason of the cancellation. "There was a problem between Warner and CBS, a lawsuit that involved 47 million dollars. And we were the ones that paid for their problem."

Perhaps they were not the only ones, eh?

Huh, that could explain a lot... wait, LaPaglia is Australian?? I used to watch that guy on Seven Days, back when he was totally ripped...

Okay, here's my curse: May CBS lose the damn lawsuit and be forced to pay every damn cent of it and then some!!!

It's interesting, however, Cold Case and The Mentalist are also CBS-Warner productions.
Why WaT and why us EH???

CBS can go to... Well, I think they're already there.

Ok, well that answered my next question then.

Well, they probably just 'used' Warner for The Mentalist, because CBS just always favored that one. And since it was their 'breakout hit', they wouldn't cut their own nose off to spite their face. As for Cold Case, perhaps they found out that of the three, EH, WaT and CC, Warner was willing to cut CC loose. Hence, CBS said "screw you" and kept CC.

Hey, JCNYC, good to have you!

Someone has probably answered your question already, I'm sure, but if not, check out the Contact Calender thread viewtopic.php?f=3&t=61, to find network contacts with emails, mailing addresses, and organized dates for contact. Luvinx is pretty amazing, she's got it all worked out.

Yeah, I've nicknamed CBS 'The Evil Eye', which, while not quite as amusing (or accurate) as luvinx's tendency to call them 'fucknuggets,' it can at least be repeated out loud in public!!

May all CBS headquarters suffer power outages, leaky pipes, clogged toilets, and broken vending machines. And may the Starbucks nearest them run out of coffee,

That's all. :D

For right now, anyway.

'Tis true. However, here amongst friends, it feels so nice to say!

That being said, I love 'The Evil Eye'. :D

Look, it is messing with our heroes again!
