Some days I really wish you wouldn't say that, it gives me terrible Motor Ed flashbacks.

(Kudos to anyone *else* who gets that reference..)

That's actually the reason why I started really overusing the word seriously.

I dropped the CS course, though I might put it back in and drop one of the maths instead. Currently I have a classes from 10:30-11:20, 12:30-2:20 MWF + 7-9 MW, + 2:30-5:30 WF and 2:30-3:45 TR. If I drop the math, I will have class from 9:30-11:20, 12:30-1:30 MWF (plus the rest). So, basically, my choice is to take a horrible math course in a horrible time slot (1:30-2:20 - I don't like having a class right before labs) or take a much more interesting CS course in an even horribler time slot (9:30-10:20) and have class class break class break lab.

Decisions. The smart move would be to take the CS course - I only need two 300 level CS courses to get a minor, but I plan on double majoring anyway... On the other hand, I need that math course to take other cs courses...

Just watched Hot Fuzz with the fam... Movie is an orgy of gratuitous profanity, gore and violence, but it's also gut-bustingly, crack-a-rib laughing funny, thanks to the brilliantly satirical performance of Simon Pegg.

The movie is also a yaoi-writers heaven, in no small part thanks to the outtake reel, in which Pegg and fellow lead actor Nick Frost gleefully acknowledge the faintly Brokeback Mountain-esque undertones (or rather, overtones) of the movie with a bit of mock fanservice.

Overall: brilliant comedy for those with strong stomachs, but don't bring the kids. The only thing it doesn't do to earn the R rating is graphic nudity, and the blood spatter really does make up for it.

The parapet landing on the guy's head was ick. As was the guy impaling his throat on the miniature spire. But yes, the movie was fun.

Dude, the ick = win. Of course, I'm the one writing a comic that frequently devolves into a bloodbath so, yeah, I suppose I shouldn't talk.

Having seen the insides of various body parts in real life - including my own left hand - it's harder for me to equate ick with win, :P .

And no, you shouldn't talk. You should write. Preferably smut, Santa hats optional.

Sadly, I don't think that will get me a job after a graduate.

Well, I suppose it could get me a job in the romance novel writing industry. (What, it totally is an industry!)

*Also* on my list. Along with Avatar and several others.

I gotta start getting to the theatre, or my list is gonna be longer than I am tall.... and that's saying some.

And I also think Robert Downey Jr is very sexy *drools*

Don't miss it! :D

P.S. Nikki, you have to see it.

Yeah, I heard Avatar was pretty good.... but currently, it isn't interesting me.... (Some random 3-D movie about tall blue people...?)

Oooooh yeah, I agree about Robert Downey~! (;

Anyways, I just watched a movie a couple days back, it came out on DVD, called 'Moon'. Anyone see it? I thought it was amazing, the concept is really good. (:

Never even heard of it.... What's it about?

And Avatar is a commentary on human nature as much as anything else... in the future, we've discovered an Eden-like planet that happens to be a source of a very valuable mineral, so the gov't is trying to negotiate with and/or kill of the natives in order to access said mineral.

It's the Trail of Tears with spectacular visual effects... I can't wait to see it.
