Season Premieres

Postby æthre » 16 Sep 2009, 16:06

Well, the first season premiere of the shows I watch airs tonight. Thus, I'm making a topic in which we can discuss how much the various season premieres sucked or rocked.

Tonight is Bones. I'm not holding my breath.

Bones and Fringe are Thursday for me.... yay birthday presents!

I follow the current storyline of Bones with something like resigned humor... watching Bones and Booth make a bloody mess of human nature is always hilarious.

I managed to miss the first airing of Bones cuz the power went out. Stupid power. Hopefully it'll be on in two minutes on the Saskatoon Global.

It was on in the two minutes I specified. Totally not really worth it, though. Too mushy. *gags*

I've read romance novels and survived. I've eaten oatmeal and survived. I think I can manage televised mush.

Edit, 10p - Not *that* mushy. Frankly, I want to smack the pair of them... but that's normal.

Re, Fringe: 'the old X designation' ? Anyone else catch that? V. good episode, though... the new girl (what is it with series and adding female chars to our series lately?) seems to fit in well.

The entire episode was about their relationship (or lack thereof) - totally mushy!

I didn't catch the X designation... wait, was that when that girl was writing up a summary and consulting the Bible?

But they've also referenced/ripped off the X-Files with the not-Alien Bounty Hunter character.

Who else knew that the new girl was gunna be a permanent character as soon as she came on the screen? I knew because of her hair.

No, it was when the head agent was facing down the board trying to defend Fringe division against their attempt to shut it down.

And of course, she has hair almost the same shade as Claudia's.

Nah, I knew cuz it was shiny and the makeup crew clearly spent quite some time with her, um, makeup and stuff.

I really enjoyed the Bones premiere, but I haven't been able to get the Fringe episode.

Are we really supposed to 'get' Fringe, or is it just a mind-altering trip?

And it sums up as universe-jumping is not good for your health, and if you see someone with three holes in the roof of their mouth, run, don't walk, they are an alien and they will eat you. Sorta.

Aha, what do you know, I started to like Fringe a bit. Watched S2x01 and found it quite interesting. BTW, Fringe, SG-U, Sanctuary, Defying Gravity are all coming to Space (Canadian SyFy). Hmm, EH would fit in there well.

House and Castle tonight! But I have a physics lab writeup, so I think I'll only watch Castle since it isn't two hours long.

EDIT: Castle: Awww, Ricky...! Sho cute!

Can't decided about Beckett's hair... think I might have liked it better short. Good start to the season, though Alexis is wearing too much makeup.... heh, wow, yeah, who am I to criticize wardrobe? (glances down at her seen-better-days jeans and seen-better-years flannel shirt) Err, nvm.

House was... interesting. Very interesting, but I haven't quite wrapped my head around the character changes yet.
