And I'm glad you liked the chapter. We'll get back to the Renji/Byakuya stuff in chapter 10, and that's fairly monumental, but next week's follows Shuuhei again, and I was writing it under influence of either sleep deprivation or cold meds (can't remember which, sadly enough!) and managed to include a Noodle Incident, . But I can't figure out how I would replace it, so I haven't.

And I was considering removing it because I hadn't planned on having a moment of boarderline-crack humor in the story there, and it's mildly disruptive to the overall flow, but.... eh, it's funny. And like I said, I don't know what I would replace it with.

Some days I really have to laugh at myself... not even fifteen years ago, I didn't even know what 'email' was - or the Internet, for that matter. And now I have a total spaz attack if I'm unable to check my mail. I think I have an internet addiction.

Scratch that, I know I have an internet addiction. I haven't cracked the spine on my current book since my return from Florida because I've been doing all my reading off ff.net.

Well, that, and it's not a great book.

Chapter nine of RDBH is up!

Aside from being the longest chapter to date, this is also the chapter containing the Noodle Incident. Which isn't much of an incident, although I hope you can get a giggle out of it.

The Noodle Incident was not at all distracting and did provide a giggle. The rest of the chapter was good - I'm really enjoying this story.

Thanks very much, I'm glad you enjoyed it! I did laugh at that sequence while doing my final proof this morning, and I'm glad it proved entertaining.

There is a an equally humorous - though slightly less ludicrous - sequence in the upcoming interlude chapter, which Ichigo probably appreciates as much as Hitsugaiya appreciated this chapter, . Ichigo is very fun to tease.

Chapter 9.5 (initially an interlude, it took on a life of it's own and became my longest chapter yet!) is posted. This is a rundown of the early-morning Captain's meeting where the votes are taken for Shuuhei, Renji, and Ichigo's Captaincies. Normal flow of the story will resume next week with chapter 10, which all Bya/Ren fans in the audience should be looking forward to, .

(beams) Thank you very much! We return to the Byakuya/Renji aspect of the story next week, with some fairly monumental changes to their relationship and the beginning of the second half of the plot arc.

Oh, couple of side notes; due to the enthusiastic response of several reviewers, the 'Noodle Incident' is going to be expanded into a short one-shot omake segment, to be posted separately. I'll put it up when RDBH hits 5k hits as a thank-you to all my readers (that should be within a week or two - I've already got over 4k...)

Second note, (which I can now post comfortably, because RDBH has *75* reviews as of today ), is that whomever posts the 100th review on the story will be gifted a free one-shot. And yes, Joyce and KY, if one of you posts the 100th review you may request an EH story, . These notes will also be posted in next weeks chapter, but I figured I would give you guys a heads-up.
