I wanted to buy a hazmat suit off of ebay... Would make an excellent hallowe'en costume!

Definitely! It would've been very proper for the swine flu situation...

For all my fellow HP lovers, "Ron" just got over the Swine Flu. I saw the headline and I was like "oh no!" How lame am I?

Ron's pretty sucky, agreed. Just want to smack him over the head sometime...

Hell, I want to smack ALL of the characters over the head sometime. Mmmm, deliciously flawed characters :3 But Ron's just plain annoying.

But it woulda been funnier to say 'I wanted to buy a hazmat suit off of ebay, but they don't sell 'em T.T' if they didn't sell 'em.

Too bad you can't actually WEAR those - you'd suffocate. You need the ventilator bits and, well, those are eeeexpensive. And that's what stopped me from buying one.

Check for surplus through your local firefighting station, they have SCBA (which is Self Contained Breathing Apparatus, not to be confused with SCUBA, which is Self Contained Underwater Breathing Apparatus) gear, and if they upgrade their gear at any point, I'm sure you could pick up the old ones on the cheap to play with. Or military surplus, if you have those in your area.

Yeah, the prospect of asphyxiating is about the only thing that prevented me.

I'm not sure if we've got army surplus stores around here... see, we have things in which we don't want our civilians having military stuff (and we actually train our armed forces instead of recruiting mass numbers and sending them out to be slaughtered. *coughs* yeaaah, I have a wee bit of an issue with how America runs its armed forces.) Wait, no, there appears to be (have been?) an army surplus store on Portage (pronounced wrong) in Winnipeg, but it was facing bankruptcy in 2007.

OOoo, yup, it's dead. Heeeeey, is that the building where the giant Bay is now? It can't be - the Bay is facing bankruptcy as well (which is totally fail since the Hudson Bay Company has been in existence for longer than Canada itself. In fact, it's one of the oldest companies in the world at 339 years of age!)

Lalala~

(Also, I dunno if the respirators that army surplus or fire fighters have would be compatible with a hazmat suit. Different purposes, after all.)

LOL! That's reason enough... I'm claustrophofic so there's no way I'd get into one of those.

This looks like a good place. Let's dump her in the back of the truck.

That's actually what I thought he was going to do when I saw this the first time.... There must be something wrong with me because he would NEVER do that... :P

Really, it almost would have been better if he had... you're supposed to keep the injured limb elevated above the level of the heart to slow the bleeding. Having her sitting upright (or even semi-upright) in the truck was basically the worst position she could have been in.

(ponders) He must have known that... Wonder if he drove the whole way with her feet elevated the way he should have... resting in his lap...

But he was in a hurry! All he was thinking of was to get to the hospital on time to save her.

I said her FEET should have been in his lap. It would have been far too distracting for him to drive with her facing the other way 'round.
